Tame the Ringing.

If you hear a constant ringing that no one else can, you're not alone. Tinnitus Saurus plays background sounds with your specific ringing frequency removed. Over time, this may help your brain gradually reduce its amplification of the tinnitus signal. Science-backed. No jargon required.

Free to start — 30 minutes of daily therapy, no credit card required.

Every screen shown here is a real screenshot from the app running on an iPhone. No mockups, no renders — this is the actual product.

Ear selection screen with options for both ears, left only, right only, or different pitch per ear

Personalized to each ear

Sound Therapy with live notch spectrum showing removed frequencies centered on your tinnitus pitch

Precision notched therapy

Relief Journal with 30-day severity trend chart showing gradual improvement over time

Different pitch in each ear? We handle that.

Set a separate frequency for your left and right ear — because tinnitus is rarely the same on both sides.

Features

A Complete Toolkit for Managing Tinnitus

Six powerful tools designed to work together, giving you a complete toolkit for managing and reducing tinnitus over time.

Smart Frequency Matching

A guided sweep from 1,000 to 12,000 Hz helps you pinpoint your tinnitus frequency with precision so therapy is tuned exactly to your ears.

Notched Noise Therapy

Choose from white, pink, or brown noise — each with a precision notch filter centered on your tinnitus frequency to encourage neural adaptation.

Notched Music Player

Upload your own music and listen with a therapeutic notch filter applied in real time, turning your favorite songs into personalized sound therapy.

Session Tracking

Built-in timer with daily streaks and progress stats keeps you consistent. Every session is saved with its complete settings, so you can repeat any past session with a single tap. Hit a milestone? Share your streak to inspire others.

Relief Journal

Log tinnitus severity over time, visualize trends with easy-to-read charts, and track your progress over weeks and months.

Per-Ear Frequency Matching

Set independent frequencies for each ear because tinnitus is rarely the same on both sides. Each ear gets its own notch filter for truly personalized therapy.

How It Works

Three Simple Steps to Relief

01

Find Your Frequency

Use our guided sweep tool to precisely match your unique tinnitus pitch between 1,000–12,000 Hz.

02

Start Therapy

Listen to notched white noise, pink noise, or your own music with your tinnitus frequency filtered out.

03

Track Progress

Log sessions, monitor severity trends, and watch your relief journey unfold over weeks.

The Science

Backed by Neuroscience Research

Notched sound therapy works by removing your specific tinnitus frequency from background audio. Over time, your brain gets less stimulation at that frequency and gradually turns down its response — reducing the perceived loudness of the ringing.

Notched audio removes energy at your tinnitus frequency

Built-in volume safety. Tinnitus Saurus monitors audio levels and will never play sound at harmful volumes.

If any sound feels painful at any volume, stop immediately and consult an audiologist.

Our Story

Why We Built This

Our co-founder is an engineer who has been dealing with tinnitus for years. After trying nearly every option available, the pattern was clear: most solutions focus on masking the tinnitus with white noise, without addressing the underlying neural pattern. Then we found the research — a 2010 study in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences showed that listening to audio with your tinnitus frequency removed could measurably reduce activity in the auditory cortex. The mechanism is called lateral inhibition, and it's backed by real data.

We also wanted a clear way to track whether the therapy was actually working. So we built Tinnitus Saurus from the ground up — separate frequency matching for each ear, a filter that works on your own music, session tracking with streaks, and a relief journal so you can see your progress over time. Every session is stored with its complete settings, so you can repeat any past session with a single tap. All processing happens on-device. No accounts, no ads, no data collection.

We built the app we wished existed: precise, private, and grounded in peer-reviewed science.
